The Council on International Law Order and Security is an independent, nonpartisan policy research and advisory organization, think tank, and publisher dedicated to responding to challenges facing global security and stability in the twenty-first century. The council, through its network of global leaders, intellectuals, and academics will shape policies and introduce strategies that uphold international order towards creating a world that is secure, stable, and free.


The Council on International Law, Order, and Security (CILOS) is seeking applications for its Legal Fellowship program. The Legal Fellow will be involved in providing legal advice on the overall operations of the council’s activities. This includes reviewing and refining grant proposals to ensure legal conformity as well as researching legal status, obligations, and reputational risks associated with funding sources. The fellow will also serve as a resource for CILOS leadership and its Board of Advisors, offering legal advice as needed on matter related to compliance, and nonprofit governance. This fellowship is ideal for law school graduates with interest in International law, legal policy, international trade governance, and international security.


Academic Qualifications:


  • Current J.D., S.J.D., or L.L.M. candidates or recent graduates of law school


This is an unpaid, remote fellowship for the summer semester, with the possibility of extension. CILOS is willing to support the selected fellow in meeting any requirements necessary to obtain resources to fund their fellowship from external sources. CILOS can make necessary arrangements for the fellow to claim academic credit for their work under this fellowship program.


Duration: 4 Months
